It's Mid-Autumn Festival!
Free Mooncakes from the Hotel and our tour Guide =D
The tour guide ( is her name Lily? oh well ) brought us to qi pu lu for shopping in the morning!
Thank god we went by ourselves the day before because we are only given 2 hours, which is NOT ENOUGH.
So I used the given time to only shop for souvenirs. =((
And after shopping, we continue with the Expo.
And just like the tour guide warned us, it's China's public Holiday therefore be prepared to see LOTS of people at the Expo.
And true enough, the place is jam-packed with PEOPLE..
=.=
sardines
That, really dampened my mood.
Not to mention the sudden gastric. sigh.
yucky drinking water
Jimmy and Ning queued up for Swiss Pavilion ( CK off with his friends ), and I opted to just sit and wait for them bcos I don't want to queue that long, and second, I'm not feeling well.
looks pretty nice to get a ride on the chairlift.. well, if only I don't need to queue. =p
with the xiao bai cai ( that's what the volunteers are called there )
inside
fake street
fake highrise made from plastic cart
houses made from corugatted boards
huge screen showing human activities
lots of chinese board games
er...lots of doors
lots of books
lots of grocery items
It's good. i mean, it makes u go ooh and ahh over everything.
but really all they do is to put a lot of the same item together.
like the doors, the board games etc..
but somehow i dont really get the meaning of what they want to potray. =X
The Highlight of the day!
Our tour guide managed to book us tickets to go in China Pavilion! :D
Not everyone can go to China Pavilion even if u have the entrance ticket to the Expo.
It has to be booked / reserved VERY EARLY.
therefore we are lucky that our group managed to get the pass. :D
( yeala, we hav VIP in our group mar.. )

very China
We waited for god knows how many hours outside ( I think 2 hours )
and who knows we have to queue again after go in. FOL.
=.=
And that took another couple of hours I think?
And there, I officially declare my hatred towards China people.
I mean rude china people. which is majority of them. oh well.
I can stand them for spitting everywhere, I can stand their super loud voice, I can still manage to tolerate their culture of pushing u away when they wanted to get pass instead of asking politely.
BUT i cannot tolerate them cutting queue !
This particular aunty was DESPERATE to get in front.
And she keep on pushing me.
even when we are waiting.
push push push..no personal space at all.
it's already very crowded inside and i'd appreciate some personal space.
Instead she just push me with her super big pork belly. fml.
and when the queue begin to move, she'd try to push harder and keep on wanting to squeeze through me and ning.
and I die die also keep both my arms apart.
in the end I got so tulan and asked her not to push.
and she scolded back.
and yeah, who cares.
In the end her husband who are in front decided to drop back and accompany his family.
cheh, impossible i let the whole family get to the front just to join the man in front.
tulan.
The china people is very clever at cutting queue.
They pretend to let their kids go pass you ( want search their mummy or whoever shit ) then shortly after that they squeeze pass you say they wan to find their kid.
Tulan x 2
RUDE PEOPLE!
*cool down*

Land of hope. I hope all u rude china people get lost.
but the painting is nice la
Then we are to queue up to have a ride on this...
Most boring ride ever.
what? so?
uh-huh..then?
ok..nice but what u want to show?
Basically there is only one sentence to sum everything up.
"Big but empty and therefore waste my time"
It's really bad.
I mean There is nothing inside that makes u wanna slow down your steps and look.
Many negative spaces ( architecture wise ) and I think this whole pavilion is only designed to look superior.
Israel is thousand times better.
I know I'm too harsh =p
But it's true.
I don't like it.

Last Day in Shanghai !
Im a sucker in pretty packaging.
Another destination before sending us to the airport...
They never fail to bring u to a pearl / jewelery shop in China huh?
The so-called 'Shao yea' in the middle..welcoming us
First of all they bring us to a conference room..
Then they have this worker giving welcoming speech..and halfway he told us the son of their boss who is a chinese from Thailand is visiting. And this guy is interested to meet us bcos we are from Malaysia ( he likes malaysian..or whatever shit la )
And so this guy pretend to be the kind of useless son who are not interested in handling his dad's business and ask us no need to buy the things here which is overpriced.
He then bring us to look at the jewellery.
and keep on condemning the price.
Later he leads us to a vip room.
And teach us how to differentiate the real pearls from the fake.
and not forgetting to say the things are overpriced.
and say since we are his friends, he will give us discount ( which is like 70% )
and the workers pretend to plead him say cannot bla bla bla..
and he pretend not to hear them and act superior.
And im amazed that the uncles and aunties still fall for their trick.
I must admit the price is tempting.
I mean IF i buy, it'll be like only RM10 per 'pearl' bracelet.
but of course it's fake kan.
If u are wondering, actually some other guys from our group later stumbled upon another tour group who are being led into another vip room, and discovered that they also have another 'useless' shao yea giving them discounts.
These are what China people are good at - conning people.
Sigh. People would buy no matter what the price is IF it is real.
No need to con people mar..
Anyway, we are glad when it is time to leave...
At Pudong Airport..love the reflections
Group photo with the tour guide
And off we go.. Bye Shanghai!
love the plane! Everyone has their own screen! watched Sex n The City movie, played the games and listened to the radio. For once, I did not sleep throughout the flight back bcos it's not everytime I get to sit on this kind of plane. =p
and I actually 'tapao'-ed back the pillow and blanket. =P
