Li Chin's 24th Birthday @ Tray

Celebrated Li Chin's 24th Birthday @ Tray Cafe !
Cant remember the last time i celebrated it with her as either me or her are always not back to kch yet on that day.
We celebrated it 3 days earlier as she'll be celebrating it with her bf on the exact day.

Went to Gingerbread House with Wan Chen and Ai Ling that evening to buy Li Chin's cake and also to fill out the card I've made with their wishes..

had a slice of green tea mousse to ease my hunger while we're there...

Ai Ling posing with the card

Wan Chen 'forced' me to make the card. she says to train me before making my scrapbook.
and it's kinda ugly haha~ so i cannot imagine how im gonna make my scrapbook. :X

and this is Wan chen's famous towel cake.

i like the wallpaper!

Some random camwhoring with the cake and of course, the pretty wallpaper...

Meet Irene, Peter and the birthday girl at Tray Cafe a few hours after that...

They help you take free photo and 'post' it up on the wall. =)

I ordered this oreo crush and it's cute and yummy =)

wan chen's cookie crush. nice too, but i like oreo more. =p

this basket of crispy fried Mali vegie is nice! but quite oily so we couldnt manage to finish it.

Li Chin keeps blaming me for cheating her to wear pink that night. hahaha~
We've agreed to wear black and let her to be the only one wearing pink as she is the birthday girl.
And in the end i turned out in white bcos Ai Ling said she didnt have black shirt but in the end she wears dark coloured shirt so im the one standing out apart from Li Chin. oh well...

More camwhoring until the food comes...

My chicken chop is a bit disappointing as it's quite salty. ( personal perception )
And next time i should know better to not order something so full when im having oreo crush because Im quite full already before the food comes.

And oh, did I mention that There is a cute waiter there ?
he will stand at one side and glanced sideway at our table and smile to himself whenever he heard something funny,
and then he will quickly pretend seeing elsewhere when we caught him seeing. so cute~ =D
Especially when we pass li chin her present, and his curious face is really funny.
it's like he wants to join in but scared being caught. haha...
and he also joins in guessing what we give Li Chin for her present. so cute...
and always kena bullied by us. =D

and see...he is being forced to light candle for Li Chin..and even being forced to sit down to blow the candle with her.

I have the urge to put a (-.-lll) sign beside his head in the photo but it'll spoil the pic so i didnt put it.

I guess he'll be really relieved when we go back. haha...

and this is peter who keeps on urging me to post up the photo of the waiter and Li chin on facebook. -.-

The little cupcake on the top of the 'fake' cake is her present actually.
It's a lipgloss by Bloop. I damn love the cute packaging!
But well, I have more lipgloss than I needed so I didnt get any for myself.

Group pic!

spotted a photo of our friend..and added some comment on it..

and then leaving some memories on the column...

me like this. =) (got the idea from Jimmy.*ahem*)

everyone followed suite.

ah~ I love vandelism...=)

We had a great and crazy night...mostly because we get to bully the cute waiter. XD

Happy Birthday Li Chin !
We love you!

My obsession

These, are my obsessions.

Scrapbook material !

guess how much money is thrown inside here.

I've been crazily buying scrapebooking stuff over the year and have now come to a stop for the time being.
As i've mentioned before, I'm going to make scrapbook for the bf for our anniversary.
( which is 4 days ago and I HAVEN'T start doing it yet. )
The one i made for our first anniversary is kinda...childish.
( using all those coloured papers and sticker tapes. gosh )
so this time i'm going to make a 'real' scrapbook. =D

And now I'm seriously addicted to scrapbooking material. how ah?
they are so pretty!
who knows one day i might open a shop and sell scrapbook materials!

Taken from Mr. Wiki,
Scrapbooking is a method for preserving personal and family history in the form of photographs, printed media, and memorablia contained in decorated albums, or scrapbooks.

and these are some examples of what scrapbook looks like.
( I haven't start making yet, so these are not mine! )

And there are two types, digital scrapbooking and the 'manual' type.
Digital shud be easier, considering that I am familiar with photoshop.
But i still opt for the 'manual' type bcos I like the process of ...well...shopping for the material *guilty smile*

And the most important thing when scrapbooking is to use acid-free material or you will risk having your precious photos spoilt over the years.
Oops...the one i used for my first anniversary scrapbook is not acid-free. T___T

Enough babbling..
So, feast your eyes on these...muahahaha~
not much really, but a bit too much for a newbie like me. =p

First, the most important material will be cardstock.
As these will serve as a 'base' for your scrapbook.
I choosed 12'x12' papers for my scrapbook as I think they look nicer than A4 sized scrapbook.

i only bought a packet..for RM15. they are not cheap.

and then we have patterned papers, which are my favourite..
Mostly cost around Rm1.50 to Rm3, and you can opt to buy the paper pack with assorted design.
I bought a pack of it which cost me RM70 i think.
now, dont scold me chi seen, bcos it's really cheaper to buy in bulk!
they only cost rm1.60 each! haha!
Bought my first patterned paper in Singapore Ion shopping mall. ( the first one on the right )
and I can't stop buying more after that. :X

i have more or less 90 pieces..

bought this huge piece of love in times bookstore in Kuching. =D
It has a velvety texture on it(the pattern)! loves!

Then the next common thing will be the embellishment.
Examples : buttons, flowers, fabric, ribbons, brads, tags, bla bla bla. They are basically little things to make ur scrapbook look pretty.

So, the first one will be tags..
tags are used when you want to add your journalling in your scrapbook.
like adding little notes and stuff

I got all these for free when i shopped at Lovescrap =D

and of course flowers, ribbons, brads and buttons!

i love them!

closer look of the flowers...

i got most of them from crafty heart and another blogshop which I forgot which one T.T.... some are given free by lovescrape.
couldn't remember the price...RM2.50 for a pack i thk..

buttons and brads..

clockwise from top left : butterflies (I stole from the 'egg' deco the malay friend gave us for his wedding :X) , buttons ( got them for free from jajakraf ), brads ( bought from er...popular for RM14.9 ) , wood heart with ladybirds ( the bf buy one ), big and small love brads ( Rm1 for a packet i thk ), and 3 packets of love made from felt. ( RM2+ for a packet )

Ribbons...

clockwise from top left : lace border sticker ( RM5.9 ), a pack of pretty grosgrain ribbons ( RM47 for 10 assorted ribbons, buy from jajakraf ), sticker deco tapes ( RM5.. leftover from last year's scrapbook ), and a mixture of cork tape, fabric tapes, and some other grosgrain ribbons. ( mostly Rm3-Rm5..some bought from Daiso, some from 100 yen and some from 100 discount store )

Then I have some stickers...

mostly alphabet stickers...( from the sticker monster shop ) Cannot afford to buy from the scrapbook shop bcos they can sell like RM14 for a piece.

blings and pearls!

and then diecuts~

bought these from 'the kraft heaven' at City square mall. =D ( $3+ each)

some random stuff...

left-right : photo corners , diecuts ( free from magazine ), cork sheet ( Rm5 from daiso ), and alphabet rub-ons ( Rm47! )

this rub-ons come with a free spatula..

the inside... rub-on is like the tattoo we used to play as a kid where u put water on it to transfer the image to your hand. but this one no need water.

The reason I bought this is bcos I canot afford alphabet stamps , which can cost up to Rm100 plus...so i can only buy rub-ons...
It's my biggest investment ever...

Next will be er...stamps and adhesives

My only stamps...

Rm8 each...and they are so small... but cute =) Bought from crafty heart, and is the cheapest so far.

And of course when u buy stamps, you will need glass or arcrylic block to mount the stamp. and you will need ink pads too.
i only have a black expensive one and a row of colourful cheap ones bought from 100yen shop.

bought the one-hole punch and flower punch from Daiso, the pen and the diamond glitter glue from scrap-n-crop ( Rm12 and Rm9.9 each ) and the magenta glitter glue from the Kraft heaven ( $1.80 )

Damn geram when I see the price of the glitter glue in kraft heaven. only $1.80. convert to MYR also only RM4+...and yet scrap-n-crop sell RM9.90. T_______T
lucky I only bought one.

Felt!

all from daiso..

fabric!

this is back when I haven't discover any store selling scrapbook stuff yet and I thought they use these kind of fabric as their background. -.-lll now only i know got pretty patterned papers. ish.

And another important ones will be Adhesives

3D mount dots ( to make some embellishment 'pop-out' ), acid-free glue stick and glue tapes.
( around Rm4 from popular )

and you might need..some reference books. haha

free...bcos Jo bought them for me. =D

Last but not least...you can't start scrapbooking without photos and some memorablia ( ticket stubs or anything that gives you memory )!

these are our memorablia...=p I havent get to print the photos i want yet.

That's all I've got.
Drooling yet?

loves!

You can buy all these stuff from the links on the side of my blog.
( not that anyone will be as crazy as i am )
And of course, always try to look at Daiso, 100 yen or any discount shop because you might not know what you might found inside there. =D
and at times they are wayyyyy cheaper.

I think I really need to start making mine now...
I'm way behind time already. ha!

********************************

P/s : I bought this super nice wrapping paper!

lots of memories there!

can you spot anything familiar?

my mum and I had a great time going over each and every one of the items there. =)
