Cameron Highlands Trip 3-6 Jan 2008

• Day 1

It's been nearly 1 week since the cameron highland trip and now only i have the time to update it...heheh...

1st of all, The cameron highlands trip SUCKS.

I cant mix well wif my workbasemate...
Eventhough they're chinese, but i seem canot get close to them.
And my roommate, being more of a tomboy who noes everythg from computers to cars, get along pretty well wif the guys.
So, i feel like i'm going out with 4 guys instead of 3 guys 1 gal.
And i cant mix wif them as i didnt play computer games, and has no interest in cars and computers.
So, that's why - the trip sucks.

I feel like going back ady on the 1st day.

On the 1st day we depart UTM at 2pm, reaching KL around 7pm.
We had our dinner at Nando ( expensive like hell ) and met up wif Kak Dash around 9pm opposite Tune Hotel.
She bring us to hav a look at the nite life of KL at Jalan Doraisamy.
the design of the bars and pubs are really cool !
And the important thg is that they maintain some of the old facade design of the shoplot and that's important in urban design.
The old and new design blend in very well..

After that we head bac to Lim's house...exhausted, as we carried our backpack for so long..
Lim's house is super super great.
We can get a full view of the whole KL from his balcony !!!
imagine during new year...sitting at the balcony and watching the fireworks...how romantic is that!
He's pretty rich...envy la.....
He bring us out to 'Look out cafe' after that.
It's a cafe situated uphill.
and my my....the view is a big WOW !!!!
we can see the whole of KL town just from there.
And the nite view of KL is sooooooo pretty......
but alas, neither of us bring camera.
how stupid is that ????
We went to another mamak stall on the way down and stayed there till about 2pm and then headed back to Lim's house..

We meet up with the others around 9am.
We reached Cameron Highlands around 1pm.
We stayed at the same place as last year - AGAIN.

We rest and had lunch then meet with kak Dash and En Yusri at 4pm to hav a briefing on what to do.
We are given the site plan and task to do for site analysis.
so damn many...sien.
We went back and divided the tasks.
after that had a rest before going for dinner and meet with Kak Dash and En yusri agn.
And really paiseh that we 5 chinese are late for 1 whole hour...
The stupid lauzy cafe is so damn slow with the food...
And the malays who waited for us opposite the cafe kept on looking at us...so paiseh...
After the meeting, we took some pic around that area and headed back.

Nite time in cameron highlands....

• Day 3

Lim, wei chin, Jim, Beeli n i set off early in the morning around 8.30am to start with our site analysis.

Some view around the small town we are to do our 1st project ( draw and colour 12 pieces of perspective views )...

How am i going to draw all these ??

We went to the pejabat tanah dan ukur and watever office in relevance to our site analysis to get some data but it's a saturday...who's going to work ?? so we didnt manage to get any data at all... *sob*

Then by luck we manage to ask a lady from the tourist information centre dat we can get weather data from the metrology station which is not far away...around 15 min of walking....

and so we walk.....

denda RM0.00 if throw rubbish??? wow..lidat i want to stay here lo...

walao! walk half hour ady...now only can see the metrology station...sooooo far away...

Damn it !!!

we walked for a good 1 hour uphill !!!
15 minutes of car drive la my dear !

I'm so damn tired after walking so long...but luckily the office is open and we manage to get our data....we're so happy that we didnt waste our energy. yay !!!!

After getting our data, the kind-hearted chinese guy who worked there gave us a ride downhill !!
We're so soooooooooo grateful that we dont need to walk soooo far... ^^

We meet kak Dash and the rest of the workbasemate around 12.30pm to start measuring our site.

my job is to take photos of the surrounding...so not me lazy o...

Our site....

We are to demolish the existing taxi stand and the tourist info centre to build our festive market for 2nd project...

After that, we went to the strawberry farm around 4pm.

Finally.....the strawberries...not yet ripe la...

Not forgetting to eat the strawberry ice pop....yummy !

After that we went to the pasar malam...

Bought this...fried mushrooms...yummy!

Not forgetting to eat chocolate coated strawberries !!! yummy !!!!!!

We ate steamboat for dinner and once agn we hav to rush as we only hav abt 40min to eat....sien...canot enjoy at all....always like that.....

That nite, we went out and hav a drink around 11pm...
The hostel we stayed is supposed to lock their door at 12 midnite, but stil, we went out...
and by the time we went back, it's already abt 1am...
and the door is locked.

We phoned the malays but none answered the phone...really sleep so early meh~
so we looked for alternative ways to get in...
The only window dat's opened is the toilet window...
whc means....we hav to squeeze in the high and small window.

Lim climbed in 1st...
and opened the front door 4 us whc in luck was only bolted from the inside and dont need a key at all.

what a nite !

• Day 4

We set off early in the morning agn to take final pictures of plants for our site analysis before checking out of the hostel at 9am.

We drop by the Bee farm after checking out..

We went to Kae Farm after that.
I bought strawberries, flowers and strawberry choc....

For my mum...

The florist told me it's already preserved and i dont need to put in water...and so i listen to her...who noes...it's not even 1 week yet and the flowers ady started to rot !

I bought 4 big packet of strawberries and get 4 small packets for free...Altogether i pay only RM20...Since Beeli said she wanted to buy 1 for Dai Gao so bopien, i hav to buy a packet 4 Ah jo them oso...if not sure kena say by him....

And well...i glad i did...cuz thgs get more n more normal between us after that....

We went and fetch Mat on the way down...he's been admitted into hospital on the 2nd day due to leg pain...he's having leukimia o watever but now he's healing ady...

After that we stop by the smokehouse.

nice eh? It's a hotel...cost abt rm200 per nite i thk...

We continue off to the Tea Farm....

We shared a pot of camolite tea...whc tasted so nice that we all go and but a packet each to brg home...but then...it didnt taste as nice as what i've drinked when i make it myself... =P

We went back after that, stopping only for lunch and toilet...

We reached UTM around 9pm...and i'm so glad to be back....( cant stand the boring-ness ) and yet a bit sien to be bac agn cuz need to start do project.......
