Ayer Hitam Trip

Been to Ayer Hitam today.
Ayer Hitam is a rest town in Johor, about 90km from JB.

I went there together with Jo to do some research for my studio project - I'll be designing a BOHO ( Big office home office ) for potters. So i need to find out what are the spaces needed for the making of pots, porcelain and ceramics stuff.
And Ayer Hitam is famous for its pottery and crafts.
And i've searched from internet and found that one pottery factory cum showroom with the name "AW Pottery" is famous in Ayer Hitam.
It is claimed to be one of the famous tourist spot of Johor.
Even the late 2nd prime minister Tunku Abdul Razak and Lee Kwan Yew visited it.
So i guess it might be a good place for me to do some research there.

We took off around 9am and reached there about an hour later.
That place is soooo full of stores selling crafts like pottery and mengkuang weaved products.
and there's a lot of shops selling cheap stuffed toys n pillows and also fake flowers.
We spend some time looking around and bought 2 wine glasses and a knife for juz Rm2 each =)

After lunch, we walked around the stalls selling local products.
It's juz like a mini pasar malam with lots of stalls selling fruits, local keropok, potteries, flowers, soft toys, vegetables....

lots and lots of potteries.....

Well, we bought some Pulasan ( wild rambutans ) and 2 dragonfruit back. heheh...
After that we asked around for the location of Aw Pottery.
And i managed to recognise the place by spotting its toilet.
It's toilet is the most colourful toilet in the country, as said in internet.

hmm....

But the most keksim thing is that the place is closed !!!!!

I've come so far and yet it's closed !!
And yet the sign said open everyday. wtf !
wasted my money n time. haiz.

So, we turned back and decided to visit other factory instead.
No fish prawn also can lah....
And we stopped by a place called Clayton.
But the boss said the factory didnt 'work' today cuz 2day is special friday. wtf is this?
And he said if u wanna visit u muz write a letter or call or email them so that they can arrange time.
@#$$%!!!

So we juz hang around taking some photos and bought some 'souvenir' back.

We went back around 1pm and Jo wanted to go Taman U to have a haircut so i follow also.
I had a trim and the hair dresser managed to coax me into doing a hair spa for Rm43.20 ( hair cut + wash + hair spa ).
ok la, he didnt force me, i willingly want to do one. =P
so lalala....rm43.20 gone juz lidat.......
But not bad la, hair feel very soft and managable after that. =P

tada~ the pulasan....

i luv pulasan cuz it's easier to eat and the seed skin ( neh, the grayish brown thing on the seed of rambutan ) wont stick to the meat like normal rambutan.

even the mouse love it !

Jo dun want to eat the other half of dragonfruit i've cut so i have to finish one whole fruit myself ( not that i canot finish all but i'm angry at him now...hng hng hng ! small gas...whatever.....lalala )

no la, a tabung....

I dono why i buy it also...hahaha....2day dono what happen to me, easily 'lured' into spending money on unnessesary stuff.
ok la...maybe i can start to save some money into my dictionary liao.

Ok, enuf.
Now i have to depend on steven to get the info of pottery for me since it's his home business and is the perfect study for me.
