Internship @ DNA - Week 1

The 1st week of my internship is all about me adapting into the new environment.

only the 1st week and there're a lot of activities going on already. =)
All i can say is that DNA ( Design Network Architects ) is really a happening firm.

Habitat 2009


Joined the other trainees and Min n his family to do some charity work



"Habitat for Humanity International works in partnership with people
from all works of life, to develop communities with people in need by
building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in
decent communities."



And so yea, We're helping some poor people to build their house.
In this case, the house is almost done, as there were people before us helping to build the house already.


So, what we need to do for that half day is to measure, saw n nail the wood panels ( wall ) into place and fill up the floor slab for the kitchen.

( me, Julie-our 1st year junior, and a guy-from china are grouped into one to take care of one of the room's wall )

this is the hardest work of all...luckily im not in charge of this. =P

have to fill up the wheel barrow with rocks n sand in order to fill up the kitchen's floor.
FYI, It's a hot n sunny day.

and yea, Jo is helping too =)

after a few hours the floor is completely filled up.

and yea, the work is done and for sure we have to take a group photo =)



Went back covered with dust and sweat but happy to know that some poor family can have a decent house to live in after this. =)
